Why These Three

Shvetashvatara is chosen for its theism - it explicitly identifies Brahman with a personal God who is “hidden in all beings” (antaryami). This is the Upanishadic foundation for Vishnu’s avatara theology.

Katha is chosen because it is the direct Upanishadic source of the Bhagavad Gita’s core teaching (BG 2.19-20 quotes Katha 1.2.18 almost verbatim). The chariot simile (Katha 1.3.3-9) is transformed into the BG’s literal chariot scene.

Mundaka is chosen for its “sparks from fire” image of souls emanating from Brahman and the higher/lower knowledge framework that maps onto the SanskritGraph three-tier structure.
