Rig Veda - Select Hymns (Griffith 1896)
The Rig Veda (Sanskrit: ऋग्वेद) is the oldest of the four Vedas and the oldest known Indo-European religious text (~1500-1200 BCE). These select hymns are curated for the Vedic Foundation tier of SanskritGraph - focusing on the Vishnu/avatara theological spine that connects the Vedic era to the Puranic Kalki prophecy.

Connection to Avatara Doctrine
The Vishnu hymns of the Rig Veda establish the theological foundation for the Puranic avatara doctrine. Vishnu’s three cosmic strides (1.154) become the Vamana avatar story. The Purusha Sukta’s Cosmic Person (10.90) becomes the theological template for Vishnu’s descent as Kalki.
